Over the coming weeks, you may notice TELUS contractors (Ledcor) in Moricetown, placing fibre optic cable on existing poles throughout the community, beginning with the main distribution lines along roads. Work is expected to take approximately six weeks, until the end of June.
For the past several months, TELUS has been working with Moricetown Chief and Council, administration and All Nation Trust Company (ANTCO) to ensure all members have the opportunity to connect to the fibre network.
Once connected, you will be under no obligation to sign up for TELUS services. However, you will have the option to sign up for any TELUS products offered, including faster Internet speed and Optik TV.
TELUS is working with Moricetown administration on how to get permission from residents to place the fibre cable from the distribution poles along roads to the side of each home. There will be more information on this coming soon.
Watch for a TELUS booth at spring Health Fair, on May 31st.
